English May 2017 Immigration In 2016, over 11 million unauthorized immigrants migrated to the United States stealing jobs, lacked contribution to society, and spread unhealthy and unsanitary disease throughout parts of the United States. Though immigration is a heavy topic to debate upon, with facts and evidence of today's problems with invasion, immigration should have more forced regulations and laws upon it. America is breeding ground for immigrants, both legal and illegal. Although, there is a great difference between the two, thus I will discuss throughout this essay. Citizens of the United states are frantically looking for jobs, especially in the restaurant field. It is super common for employers to hire illegal aliens rather than tax paying citizens for the pure fact that they can be paid at a much lower rate. Illegal immigrants are stealing our jobs and not contributing to society by paying their fair share of taxes. In the working field they call it “being paid under the table.” Our citizens of the United States tax range from 11%- 30% of your average income a year. That is a decent amount of money taken out of one paycheck. These taxes go towards important things such as school funds, work on cities, streets and highways, medical funds, country defense, safety net programs, etc. In 2016, it was documented that about 8% of illegal immigrants in the nation have contributed to our country. That is 880,000 people out of 11 million. These statistics do not compare to the United States citizen. Think about things this way. You as a United States citizen, pay tons of money in taxes to support your children, and support other citizens to go to school, and receive a decent education. People are out of money, they work hard to support children whose parents do not contribute to the society like every other legal citizen in our country. If illegal immigrants are not going to contribute the United States laws like every other citizen, then we should not allow them in our country. Since 2008 illegal immigration has become a huge issue in our society. Illegal immigrants migrate from all over the world but over 50% of people have come from Mexico in the past 3 years. Some illegal immigrants pay up to $200,000 USD to get guards at border control to turn their backs so that they can have a plethora of aliens enter the USA. Also, studies show that many Mexicans have swam from the Gulf Of Mexico to the coast of Florida in order to enter the US. This is not only dangerous, but it brings disease and unsanitary health into our country. For instance, there have been cases of Ebola in the US, that people believe to have come from illegal immigrants. This is dangerous not only physically but mentally as well. By allowing this, we as a country, will slowly but surely become the land of the unknown people, those who are undocumented with no real identity. This could lead to serious issues, considering the government has no real security system for aliens. The lack of security for United States people when it comes to illegal aliens is alarming, we have seen so many terrorist attacks this year, most of them done by illegal immigrants from the Middle East. We can not afford these acts, such as further attacks on our people like those shown on several reliable news channels. European countries have succumb to several terror attacks in the past few months, the US need to take this seriously. As you know, the EU has little to no border control at all so terrorists can freely travel throughout making attacks easily accessible in those areas. Illegal immigration is dangerous for our people. We don't know who is entering our country when someone crosses the borders without any recognition of who they are. Our country can not take any chance of terrorist attacks or loosing everything we worked for. Not having legal identification of a person also relates back to the legal laws. For instance, if an illegal immigrant is driving a car on the highway and is going 95 mph and is pulled over by either a local sheriff or a state police officer and they don't have document of who they are as a United States citizen, it is dangerous for our officers because they don't know who they are dealing with. This is not saying all immigrants are terrorist, but with the luck of the United States and other countries, offering our world for people of fraud and theft is not the right choice. Illegal immigration should be put to a stop but immigration in general is a healthy and positive value for the United States. Many doctors, professors, hair designers, models, policeman, and nurses are immigrants. Except the difference between a legal and an illegal immigrant is the point that they worked to become a citizen. They went through all the customs and high demands of the country to be able to succeed in America. It's only fair for people who want to live in the United States to involve themselves as much as possible, just like every other person living here. Having immigration in the United States doesn't have to be a bad thing, if we would only have a greater force and regulation upon it. Immigration has done a great deal for our country as well. It has brought culture, religion, and difference in our country. Legal immigrants have created local businesses such as clothing cultural stores and different markets, where we can live the authenticity of their home flavors right here in the US. According to the Fiscal Policy Institute, small businesses owned by immigrants employed an estimated 4.7 million people in 2007, and according to the latest estimates, these small businesses generated more than $776 billion annually. Legal immigrants play a large part in our society, without causing any corruption to the tax paying people. They have expanded our knowledge of the world and have allowed our country to reach out to others. By protecting ourselves we can protect other countries. We need to work together to make this world a healthy environment for all cultures. We all understand in today's world there are many countries in need of help, but it is nearly impossible to do so when we have illegal immigrants migrating into our country, causing distractions. People in Mexico and other low income countries need to be patient because with time, our government will help other lives and make sure that their economies rise to power. We will make America great again by creating a system for any immigrant to freely enter our country, but in the meantime we need to be aware and cautious of those we are allowing to enter the States. In conclusion, illegal immigration is a very sensitive topic to debate upon but with facts and evidence to support the opinion, the crisis should be stopped. For many decades, illegal immigration has only brought many problems into the United States. Racial, prejudice, terrorist issues, and even economic problems as well. To prevent such conflict in our country we need to secure the immigration law by enforcing certain policies. For instance, national borders can be watched closer with more effect and enforcement when securing the borders. When illegals go to find a job, owners can and should check for legal documentation. For instance a passport or a birth certificate to prove the person's identification in the country of the United States. If we, as a whole, begin to respect one another and respect ourselves and all that we have worked up to become, our country will achieve what none other has, and that is peace, nation wide. As a unit, we need to help other nations rise to power but make sure we support ourselves first. America should always be the land of the free and the home of the brave. http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/04/27/5-facts-about-illegal-immigration-in-the-u-s/ https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/04/how-trump-is-upending-the-conventional-wisdom-on-illegal-immigration/524058/

We will make America great again by creating a system for immigrants to freely enter our country, but we will work and live the way our system works. In the end, illegal immigration is a very sensitive topic to debate upon but with facts and evidence, it should be stopped. America, the land of the free, home of the brave, should allow immigration with certain rules and regulations. Our land was founded in the early 1600’s by immigrants, we are a land of immigrants all seeking the same thing, religious freedom and opportunity. Those who gun for the American dream can and should legally enter America. The long difficult process is well worth it in the long run, helping those in need grow into successful members of the community.
Applicants go through fingerprinting, questioning, testing and background checks. America is breeding ground for immigrants, both legal and illegal. Everyone wants a taste of the home of the brave. This is why we are slowing becoming overpopulated and jobless! Since 2008 immigration has become a huge issue in our society, causing some who come here legally to take advantage of our government system, collect welfare and not contribute to society. Unlike the illegal immigrants that take our jobs and don’t pay taxes, kudos to them, at least they work hard for the little money they earn. Although this is an issue, I still believe that everyone deserves a chance to live a happy, healthy life and think that the United States should help those in need and allow legal immigrants to enter our country as long as they are willing to contribute to our society and include themselves in paying taxes. I am aware that it’s a terribly long uncomfortable process to enter the United States but in reality it has to be. Many people don’t realize the threat that immigrants cause to society, possible disease and even terrorist attacks can be linked to those attempting to enter America. Many citizens don’t realize the length that some people go to just enter the US illegally. After speaking to several illegal immigrants I’ve realized that the process of coming illegally is just as hard as entering legally except with more risk. In reality those who enter our country illegally are just trying to flee theirs as quick as possible, due to several different reasons. These reasons range anywhere from criminals attempting to escape to parents looking for better lives for their children. Some illegal immigrants pay up to $200,000 USD to get guards at border control to turn their backs so that they can have a plethora of aliens enter the USA. By denying immigrants we are just opening up doors to potential black markets for actual criminals illegally transferring people into the US as a source of untaxed income. By allowing this we our country will slowly but surely become the land of the unknown people, those who are undocumented with no real identity. This could lead to serious issues, considering the government has no real security system for aliens. As shown on several reliable news channels, european countries have succumb to several terror attacks. As you know, the EU has little to no border control at all terrorists can freely travel throughout making attacks easily accessible in those areas. Statistics show that six out of every ten farm workers are illegal immigrants working for little to nothing, as awful as this is, these are the people keeping living cost low. Companies thrive off immigrants, this is where they’re saving money, as unfortunate as it is. In our country we need to allow immigrants, it’s only right considering we are a land where people can find safety and comfort. Women and children in third world countries are suffering painfully and potentially dying due to the horrid ways of their rulers. We need to find a way that helps those in need as well as keeping American citizens happy. Applicants should most definitely have a background check, be fingerprinted, tested and questioned. Although this is a lot of information to obtain the US needs to find a way to quickly and efficiently get through the applicants if they’re currently in bad situations. In reality many are chanting “build the wall” and claiming immigrants are raping our women and children. This is nonsense made up by the media and closed minded citizens. I understand fully why many of these people do not want to allow any immigration at all, but in all seriousness they’re being selfish. Immigrants may be taking our jobs but that’s because they’re working hard for them. They may be collecting welfare, but they earned citizenship legally for it. Many immigrants own companies, build homes, work in factories, some are even nurses and cops. I know for a fact that many immigrants are a large part of american society. My step-dad, a hard working cop who doubles as a nurse in his free time not only commits to saving lives daily, he pays taxes and contributes to society in many other ways as well. Not all immigrants are rapist, criminals stealing our jobs and money. Immigrants are a plethora of people looking for happiness and a new life. They don’t live like us, most come from little to nothing, American people need to give them a chance. We judge other countries for treating people in awful ways nut in reality we do the same by not letting those in need into our country. There should be no ban on entering the United States as long as you pass the essentials you should be able to live throughout the country. Make America Great Again, create a system where immigrants can freely come into the country without worrying INS is going to show up at their door and hold them in a cell. Give immigrants the chance to a better life, one that we all know is possible to live. Educate them and help them prosper into a wonderful addition to our society! http://www.history.com/topics/u-s-immigration-before-1965 http://www.teenink.com/opinion/all/article/42993/Legal-Vs-Illegal-Immigration/ https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume12-PartB-Chapter2.html |
